“According as His divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him that hath called us to glory and virtue.” 2 Peter 1:3
Congratulations and welcome to the 6th month of the year of Divine Repositioning. The number 6 symbolizes love for humanity and harmonious relationships; it is the number of Man. Man is God’s method here on earth, every time God wants a change or a turnaround, He sends a man. In the sixth month, God sent Angel Gabriel to a woman in Nazareth to announce the coming of a Man who would turn things around on the earth and change the course of history forever.
I prophesy to you this month that God will send you men to bring about divine turnarounds in your life, family, business, career, and ministry, in the Name of Jesus. God will move you from one level of glory to the next and your day-to-day life will bring Him glory; the zeal of the LORD will consume you, causing you to live holy, evangelize, and pray for the unsaved, in Jesus’ Name.
This month as we consider “Glory Ahead”, we shall define glory and what God has planned for his Blood-bought, redeemed, sanctified, and Spirit-filled children before the foundations of the world. We shall also be encouraged that lost glory can be restored through the grace and mercy of God (Romans 9:16; Ecclesiastes 9:11).
The Definition of Glory
Glory is the shining beauty of God upon a man or a woman. Glory reveals the supernatural nature and the ability of God in the life of a man because 1 John 4:17 says, “…As He is; so are we…” Glory is the opposite of shame. Your background notwithstanding, you can live a glorious, full, and honorable life. Therefore, do not resign yourself to fate: exercise your faith! Do not let go of your divine inheritance. God gave it to you, do not hand it over to the devil.
The glory of God sets you apart, transforming you from a mere homo sapiens into a homo superior. God’s glory upon your life makes youa solution carrier like Joseph. It makes you a victor and not a victim (Acts 12:7-10). His glory upon your life destroys the works of darkness and releases grace making you unstoppable, un-challengeable, un-moveable, and unsinkable. You then begin to rule your world like Daniel.
Israel’s journey through the wilderness from Egypt to the land flowing with milk and honey was glory-powered and divinely orchestrated for 40 years (Exodus 40:34-38). God did not permit them to be defeated or molested; they had been marked by the ‘glory ahead.’
We find the following true because of God’s promise of the glory ahead:
- Balaam and Balak could not curse them (Numbers 23:11-12).
- The Red Sea could not hold them back (Exodus 14:21-22).
- Psalms 114:3-6 declares that the Red Sea fled before the Israelites, the River Jordan was driven back, even mountains skipped before them like rams, and the little hills like lambs. Hallelujah to the Lamb of God!
- The Wall of Jericho crumbled before them, and their enemies (the Jebusites, Amorites, Hittites, Hivites, etc.) became fetchers of wood and drawers of water for them (Joshua 9:1-27).
- Their Egyptian captors became captive, asking for prayers (Exodus 12:31-32; Psalms 105:38).
- God catered for their mortal bodies and gave them all that was required for living for the 40 years they were in the wilderness (Deuteronomy 29:5-6, 8:2, 8:4; Psalms 105:37).
- God distinguished them, setting them apart from all other nations on the face of the earth (Exodus 19:5-6; Deuteronomy 14:2).
As you embark on the journey of Glory Ahead, similar to what He did for the Israelites, He will do for you and much more because of Jesus Christ (Deuteronomy 6:17-19).
Lost Glory Can Be Restored
Glory, as beautiful as it is, can be stolen, hijacked, or even covered. Several people have had their glory manipulated (Ecclesiastes 10:7). It is a case of the switch of destiny. I decree upon you, wherever your glory has been switched, God will bring restoration now, in Jesus’ Name. The glory of the latter house shall be greater (surpass, more glorious) than that of the former, in Jesus’ Name (Haggai 2:6-8). As the Lord of heaven lives, the glory you have lost shall be restored much more, by the mercy and grace of the LORD. Be expectant this month.
- Nebuchadnezzar lost his glory for seven years, because of pride. However, because of the mercy and grace of God, he was restored. Everything he had lost for seven years was restored as if he lost nothing. By the mercy of God, whatsoever you have lost over the years/months/days, even if due to enemies fighting your destiny, the God of heaven shall restore, in Jesus’ Name (Joel 2:25-26).
- Naaman was a leper, a captain in the camp of Syria, and a nobleman. However, he was cleansed and fully restored by mercy and grace when he met with the God of the Hebrews through an act of obedience to dip in the river Jordan (2 Kings 5:10-12,14).
- In 2 Kings 8:3-4, a Shunammite woman, who returned to her country after a 7-year absence, requested that all she owned be restored to her. By the mercy and grace of God, they were indeed restored! If a mere human king can restore seven years of lost wages to the Shunammite woman, the King of kings shall restore what is yours, in Jesus’ Name (2 Kings 13:23).
Glory Ahead is promised only to those who are on the side of the LORD (Romans 8:28). We serve a God Who values personal relationships and believes in covenants. When the children of Israel surrendered themselves to God’s agenda, the Glory Ahead was seen by all.
Seven Things To Sustain The Glory Ahead (1 Thessalonians 5:16-22)
- Verse 16: Rejoice evermore – Philippians 4:4; John 16:33.
- Verse 17: Pray without ceasing – Luke 18:1.
- Verse 18: In everything give thanks – Colossians 3:17.
- Verse 19: Quench not the Spirit – Jude 1:20.
- Verse 20: Despise not prophesyings – Isaiah 3:10; Jeremiah 29:11.
- Verse 21: Prove all things; hold fast that which is good – Romans 12:9.
- Verse 22: Abstain from all appearance of evil – Proverbs 10:9.
Conclusion
Sons and daughters of the Most High, God has crowned you with glory and honor (Psalms 8:3-4). Due to the God-factor working in you, for you, and around you, all glories tampered with shall be restored and fully expressed this season, in Jesus’ Name.
There is a glory that awaits you this month, but you must arise and wage war by praying the following prayers repeatedly and aggressively. It is written, “Deliver thyself as a roe from the hand of the hunter, and as a bird from the hand of the fowler.” Proverbs 6:5
